Welcome to my new blog.  I’ll be posting my photographs, thoughts and stories.  I’ve been a photographer for what seems like a lifetime. Oh it HAS been a lifetime.  In the process, I’ve traveled the world, experienced some amazing things and made some incredible friends.  It’s been an interesting ride for me and it’s hardly over, so I’ll share what’s current, what’s past , what I have learned and experienced, and what might be to come.

JD Souther at the Midnight Ramble

From the same night as the previous album, photos of the Legendary West Coast Singer Song Writer JD Souther. I was introduced to JD recently by an old friend from my rock days Chip. He asked if I would do some photos of JD and I jumped at the chance. JD and I hit it off and I began telling him about “the Rambles” at Levon’s and how he HAD TO do one. Personally I just wanted to see an East Coast and West Coast musical legend meet and perform together for the very first time. I wrote a couple emails and set up introductions and the next thing I knew, JD was playing with Levon and to me, rock history doesn’t get much better than that!   Some of you know, my earlier career was in rock n’ roll, working at a little theater in Passaic NJ, The Capitol Theatre. An amazing place to work from 18-32 years of age. Saw pretty much evey band of the time come through that little theater including the Stones, and the Who. Kind of missing my rock days, and always have been incredibly interested in the history of rock and connecting all the dots as artists moved from band to band. I’ve been having a great time photographing performers again so I thought I’d share a couple albums of photos.
